ด้านหน้ามีพระบรมสาทิสลักษณ์พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวภูมิพลอดุลยเดชเป็นประธาน ริมขอบเหรียญมีคำว่า “ภูมิพลอดุลยเดช รัชกาลที่ ๙”
ด้านหลังมีพระปรมาภิไธย ประจำพระองค์ ประกอบไปด้วยพระมหาพิชัยมงกุฎถัดลงมามีอักขระเป็น “อุ” หรือเลข ๙ ไทย เหนือพระปรมาภิไธย ภปร ข้างใต้จารึกว่า”๑0 บาท” ริมขอบของเหรียญจารึกว่า “รัชมังคลาภิเษก ๒ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๓๑” ขนาดเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลาง 32.00 มิลิเมตร ชนิด นิกเกิล จำนวนที่ผลิต 500,000 เหรียญ
(ความหมายของคำว่ารัชมังคลาภิเษกนั้นหมายถึง พระราชพิธีสมโภชเมื่อพระมหากษัตริย์ทรงครองราชย์สมบัติได้นานพระมหากษัตริย์พระองค์ก่อนๆ)

On head side of the coin is a portrait of King Rama IX and 0n the rim of the coin inscribe “Phumibol Adulayadej Reign IX” On the tail side of the coin is Royal Phro Por Ror coat of arms beneath its inscribe “10 Baht”.Around rim of the coin are words “Rajamangalaphrisek 2 July 1988” in Thai language.(The meaning of Rajamangalaphrisek is reign longer than the former other Kings). Diameter 32.00 millimeter, type nickel. Launching in year 1988. Number of mintages 500,000 coin.
