ด้านหน้ามีพระบรมสาทิสลักษณ์ พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวภูมิพลอดุลยเดชและพระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวในเครื่องแบบลูกเสือไทย เป็นประธาน ริมขอบเหรียญด้านล่างมีคำว่า “รัชกาลที่๖ รัชกาลที่๙”
ด้านหลังของเหรียญมีสัญลักษณ์ลูกเสือไทยเป็นรูปหัวเสืออยู่ภายในดอกเฟอร์รารี่ ข้างใต้จารึกว่า “กำเนิดลูกเสือไทยครบ ๘0 ปี วันที่ ๑ กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. ๒๔๕๔-๒๕๓๔ ประเทศไทย”
